An oak four poster bed, soft cotton linen, towels, snug furry rugs & warm felt tent lining, cosy electric flame effect stove, electric lighting, WiFi connection, dressing table & mirror, wooden storage trunk, solid flooring and a safety deposit box. Children sleep on camp beds with sleeping bag & blanket provided.

FREE access for glampers to the Castle grounds during your stay, tables & chairs, crockery, cutlery and BBQ cooking utensils, travel cots, washing up facilities and equipment, BBQs and Fire Pits.

Cool box & ice packs, food & condiments, pots & pans for boiling or frying, wellie boots or sensible walking shoes, umbrellas, sun cream, mobile phone/tablet chargers, charcoal & firelighters for the BBQ and wood burning stoves.

Cook a feast in the open air at the Medieval glamp site or have dinner at Castle View Restaurant (subject to availability, booking a table is recommended). Castle View Restaurant also offers a traditional full English. There is also a selection of seasonal fruit flavoured homemade yoghurt station, pastries and breads and homemade jams, marmalade and estate honey. Breakfast can be added at the time of booking or when you arrive. Adults £17.50; Children £8.50.

The minimum age for adults in the tent is 18. Anyone younger than that must be accompanied by an adult.

Attached on your confirmation email is a document called "Knight's Cottage & Glamping Directions". Please print these off & follow carefully. Do not go to the Main Gate as this is for day visitors only. The directions will take you to the private entrance on Broomfield Road which is a 5 minute drive away from the main entrance.

You may arrive from 12pm so you can enjoy the Castle & the surroundings, with check-in to your tent from 3pm . You will be directed by security to park on the estate car parks & shown where the Hospitality Reception is so that you can go their first before checking in at Glamping.

Yes, please pack your car with your belongings following check out at 10am & continue to enjoy the Castle & grounds. You may leave when you are ready.

Once you have selected your first tent for the dates that you require there is an option for you add another tent to your booking from the previous page. If you are having difficulty doing this online please call 01622 767823.

We invite guests to check in from 3pm until 7pm. Check out time is 10am. Any guests arriving after 7pm will need to call security to gain access to the site via the Broomfield gate entrance.

We provide extra beds, sleeping bags, pillow & blankets for children under the age of 17. There is a surcharge of £25 per child per night.

The tents are designed to fit a maximum of two adults on a double four poster bed and two children on camp beds. Any other configuration would mean the tents get too cosy and the shower facilities and camp fire/dining area become too busy.

No. Medieval Glamping is all about the experience of staying in our luxuriously designed striped pavilions.

There are fire pits with griddles and BBQs provided and that's where cooking is done. Of course you can take your food back to the dining area in front of your tent, if you wish.

Castle View Restaurant also offers a traditional full English. Please bring a cool box if you wish to store any perishable food items. You will also need to bring ice packs with you which you can re-freeze in our freezer at the cottage. Any drinks maybe stored in the fridge to chill down – subject to space within it. Items are left in the fridge/freezer at each guests own risk.

Please bring charcoal for the barbecue and any additional firelighters/matches you may wish to use.

You have access to the Knight's Cottage kitchen and here you will find a microwave that can be used for warming bottles and baby food.

Yes. Access on and off the estate is not a problem at any time. Guests are welcome to walk the gardens and estate outside opening times, but are asked to stick to the paths and lit areas after dark, particularly anywhere near the moat. The castle is only open during visitor hours and although there may be a private function taking place, this will only be open to invited guests.

Guests will be able to book a table at Castle View Restaurant but general day time activities will not be running in the evenings.

Currently the cooking area is open to all the weather elements. If you are willing to cook out in the rain then you are more than welcome, but you will need to bring large umbrellas to cover yourselves & the BBQs. You can then take your food down to your tent to eat under the awnings. We also have Castle View Restaurant in the Stable Courtyard (subject to availability). There are lots of local pubs & restaurants around which our staff can recommend for you.

Both entrances for these activities are at the Main Entrance & Ticket Office. If you have already checked in at Glamping staff will be able to direct you. If you are doing your activity before checking in please drive to the Main Gate (day visitor entrance) to go to these. Go Ape is signposted. Segway Tours you will need to park up & go to the ticket office & see a member of staff. You will need to drive out of the main gate & follow the directions to get to the Broomfield Road Gate for Glamping.

Bookings cancelled more than 4 weeks prior to arrival will only be charged the 30% deposit. Within 4 weeks the full amount will be due. Leeds Castle recommends clients take out suitable travel insurance. Amendments can be made to bookings up to 14 day before your stay, subject to availability. A £25 amendment fee will be charged.

We want you to enjoy all Leeds Castle has to offer and not worry about your tent during the day or night. There is a safety deposit box in each tent for securing small valuables. We have a Security Team on the Leeds Castle site 24 hours a day and will provide you with their contact number.

All of this information is on an attachment that you will receive on your confirmation email when you have booked. Please read this carefully.

A hairdryer is available for you to use in your tent.

Visually and hearing impaired visitors can be assisted by their guide and hearing dogs in the Castle and grounds. We regret that no other dogs are permitted.

Unfortunately due to the steps between the cottage and the camp site and the slope on which the site is situated, we cannot safely accommodate less mobile guests.

Bookings cancelled more than 4 weeks prior to arrival will only be charged the 30% deposit. Within 4 weeks the full amount will be due. In the event of cancellation by the client for whatever reason, no refund of deposit or monies paid will be made. Leeds castle enterprises strongly recommend clients take out suitable cancellation insurance, including cover for Covid19 related illness and possible selfisolation. Disruption to travel plans due to government public health measures for covid-19 - If Leeds castle is unable to fulfil your holiday booking due to UK Government public health measures imposed as a result of the Covid19 pandemic making it is unlawful to travel or to make use of the accommodation you have booked, you may choose to: a) Transfer your booking to a later date free of any administration charges, subject to availability - you will have to pay any difference in price if the cost of the new booking is higher or be reimbursed the difference if the cost of the new booking is lower. b) Obtain a refund of the amount already paid by you for the booking. Amendments can be made to bookings up to 14 day before your stay, subject to availability. A £25 amendment fee will be charged.

Yes, we have one dedicated room that can be either set up as a double or a twin. Also the bathroom is fully equipped for disabled guests.

Yes, some of our rooms have sofa beds or a z-bed which can be added for an additional cost per night. This cost includes breakfast.

The usual lead time for bookings is 6 months for the Stable Courtyard Rooms and 4 weeks for the Maiden's Tower.

All rooms are fully paid at the time of booking.

Yes, we accept for residential guests for bookings.

If you wish to cancel your booking, you must notify the Hospitality team 14 days prior to your check in date to qualify for a full refund. Guests booking through an external agent must notify the agent directly. Any cancellations made after this time will not receive a refund.
